Does your dog get nervous at the vet hospital?
Do you want to prepare your dog for an upcoming vet visit or procedure?
Does your dog run away when the nail clippers, medication, or harness come out?
Do they hide at the sound of the bath water being turned on?
Does your dog dislike being brushed?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then you have come to the right place!
I can offer solutions to help make both you and your dogs life easier, build trust for at home medicating or husbandry procedures, and relieve some stress associated with at home care, or vet visits
Leslie is the greatest dog trainer ever. We are so lucky to have found her to help us with our dog, Henrik. Henrik is a nervous boy who is fearful of touch, especially from strangers. This makes going to the vet nearly impossible. Leslie has helped us make massive progress with the handling that Henrik will allow (even welcome) from me and my husband. We still have a long way to go before seamless fear-free vet visits, but it at least feels possible now. The most important thing for me is how Leslie teaches me how to train my dog with respect, work cooperatively with him, and not force or compel him into complying. I love how Leslie has taught us to read Henrik's body language, progress at his own pace through the training, and make adjustments for what works best for him. It is so helpful that Leslie is very good at explaining things simply since, realistically, I'm the one that needs the training more than my dog. I can't recommend working with Leslie enough, in her group classes or one-on-one training.
